I was going through drive through at McDonalds to pick Jaidy up a happy meal about 6 weeks ago as a treat for graduating from Kindergarten. I have told her all of the bad words and that we don't say those words ever, because they hurt people's feelings and they hurt God's feelings.
I was getting frustrated, and I am usually pretty patient, but it was taking like 10 minutes before the line moved. I said, "Come on you people, hurry up !" in an annoyed tone. Jaidy said, "Yeah You COWSERS !" in a perfect sarcastic tone. My frustration quickly turned into curiousity. "What is a Cowser ?" I asked her gently. "You know Mommy, like a little baby cow." "Oh, I exclaimed - I guess that word is ok to use when you get frustrated."
A few days later, she changed it to Cowzo. I told her she shouldn't call people names, but it was ok to say it around me when she wanted to voice her frustrations.
